Project Context
Técnicas Reunidas was awarded a US$1.7 billion lump-sum turnkey contract to deliver the utilities and off-sites facilities for the Jazan IGCC complex.
The programme required coordinated delivery of critical utility systems spanning construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases. Complex welding, piping, structural, and mechanical works were executed alongside specialised functions such as rigging, permit-to-work systems, CAD support, supervision, and commissioning coordination.
All activities had to be performed under stringent safety, quality, and schedule controls while managing multiple disciplines across an extensive industrial footprint.
