Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead complex technical support and engineering problem-solving. In this role, you will support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and solution development for mechanical systems—working closely with internal teams and customers to improve performance, reliability, and service outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical engineering activities (troubleshooting, root cause analysis, redesign, and reliability improvement).
- Perform system design, calculations, FEA/CFD support (as applicable), and equipment performance evaluation.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and vendor documents; ensure compliance with standards and project requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, field service, safety, and R&D).
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians; manage escalations and complex issues.
- Support installation/commissioning and post-service optimization.
- Create technical reports, failure analysis summaries, and improvement action plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s a plus).
- 6–10+ years of mechanical engineering experience (industry/field service exposure preferred).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, thermodynamics/fluids (as relevant).
- Experience with one or more: FEA, reliability engineering, vibration analysis, pressure vessel/rotating equipment principles.
- Proficiency with engineering documentation and tools (AutoCAD/SolidWorks/CATIA; MATLAB or similar; MS Excel/Word).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers/stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Familiarity with relevant codes/standards (ASME, API, ISO, OSHA—depending on industry).
- Project leadership experience and ability to manage vendor/contractor interfaces.
