Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead and manage procurement activities for a large-scale Phosphate Project in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely procurement of materials and services, and maintaining compliance with project requirements, budgets, and schedules.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project objectives and timelines.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process including sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, construction, and finance teams to ensure procurement requirements are clearly defined and executed.
• Identify and qualify reliable suppliers and vendors for project materials, equipment, and services.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and conduct commercial negotiations to secure optimal pricing and contract terms.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and contract adherence.
• Manage procurement documentation, contracts, and supplier records.
• Identify and mitigate procurement risks that may impact project cost or schedule.
• Provide regular procurement status reports to senior management and project stakeholders.
• Support cost control initiatives and ensure procurement activities remain within the approved project budget.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent is preferred.
Experience
• Minimum 12–15 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• At least 5 years in a managerial role within large-scale industrial, mining, oil & gas, or EPC projects.
• Experience working on mega projects in the Middle East, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
• Proven experience managing procurement for large capital projects and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
Required Skills
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and supply chain best practices.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple procurement packages simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Additional Notes
• Experience working in PMC or EPC environments is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of project procurement planning, logistics coordination, and supplier performance management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment and manage tight deadlines.
