Job Summary
Responsible for planning, supervising, and executing all mechanical piping construction activities in brownfield projects within live operating plants. Ensures safety, quality, and schedule compliance while coordinating with operations, engineering, QA/QC, and HSE teams.
Responsibilities
• Supervise all mechanical piping works in brownfield construction projects.
• Execute work as per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Manage fabrication, erection, welding, NDT, pressure testing, flushing, and reinstatement.
• Coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins, SIMOPS, hot work, and permit-to-work activities.
• Interface with client and operations teams to minimize plant disruptions.
• Manage supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors to meet project targets.
• Monitor manpower productivity, materials, and equipment usage.
• Resolve site construction and interface issues.
• Ensure punch list clearance and support system handover.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
Required Qualifications
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 10–15 years of experience in mechanical piping construction.
• Strong brownfield project experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, power, or industrial plants.
• Proven exposure to shutdowns, live plant tie-ins, and SIMOPS.
Required Skills
• Knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM piping standards.
• Ability to read P&IDs, isometrics, and layout drawings.
• Experience with welding, NDT, pressure testing, and commissioning support.

HSE & Quality
• Enforce HSE policies and permit-to-work systems in live plant environments.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure RAMS compliance.
• Ensure adherence to ITPs, WPS/PQR, and piping codes.
• Coordinate inspections and testing with QA/QC and client teams.
